BILL Deepens Executive Bench with Addition of Rohini Jain as Chief Financial Officer and Expanded Role for President John Rettig

BILL (NYSE: BILL), a leading financial operations platform for small and midsize businesses (SMBs), recently announced Rohini Jain will join BILL as Chief Financial Officer. Jain will lead finance strategy across BILL, reporting to CEO and Founder, René Lacerte. With Jain joining the executive team on July 7th, John Rettig will take on an expanded role as both President and Chief Operating Officer, to further accelerate growth and category leadership.

A Global Finance Executive with Expertise in Accelerating Business Growth

Rohini has more than 20 years of experience shaping and leading finance, product, and operations teams at global fintech, payments, and e-commerce companies, including PayPal, eBay, Walmart, and General Electric. Rohini joins BILL from PayPal, where she most recently served as CFO and SVP of PayPal’s Large Enterprise and Merchant platforms. Rohini has a Masters of Finance from the London School of Economics, and a Chartered Accountant certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Forvis Mazars Announces New Chief Talent Officer and Board

Forvis Mazars, LLP, ranked among the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States, recently announced Amy Smith as Chief Talent Officer, the addition of firm leaders Tim York and Fran Randall to the U.S. Governing Board, and the addition of John Kmetz and appointment of Rob Pruitt as vice-chair to the Forvis Mazars Global Network Board. The changes took effect June 1.

Chief Talent Officer

Amy Smith joined Forvis Mazars in December as chief talent officer-elect, serving alongside CTO Lori Haley to ensure a seamless leadership transition ahead of Haley’s retirement on May 31. Smith is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to CEO Tom Watson. Amy joins the firm with over 25 years of experience in human resources and operations leadership across multiple industries.

Governing Board

Partners Tim York and Fran Randall join the U.S. Governing Board, which is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the firm. York is the chief growth officer, serving on the firm’s Senior Leadership Team, and has been with Forvis Mazars for more than 30 years. He becomes chair of the Governing Board, succeeding Matt Snow, who has served as board chair since 2022 and retired on May 31. Randall is the national practice leader for the firm’s International Tax Service line and has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting.

Global Network Board

Partner and Chief Practice and Innovation Officer Rob Pruitt succeeds Snow as vice-chair of the Global Network Board. John Kmetz joins the Global Network Board as a new member. Kmetz leads the U.S. firm’s national assurance and SEC practices and has more than 25 years of experience in client service and leadership roles. The Global Network Board consists of ten members from across the globe who help drive the Network’s strategy, support seamless collaboration worldwide, and advance efforts to help clients anticipate what’s next

Grant Thornton Advisors LLC Names Elliot Findlay as COO

Grant Thornton, one of America’s largest brands of professionals providing end-to-end audit, assurance, tax and advisory services, recently named Elliot Findlay as its new chief operating officer (COO) and a member of its Executive Committee. The role was previously held by Jim Peko, who became the firm’s CEO earlier this year.  

Findlay has been serving as Grant Thornton’s national managing principal of Transaction Advisory Services. He began his career in Scotland in 2000 as an associate with Grant Thornton UK, transferring to Grant Thornton in the U.S. in 2005. He has been instrumental in the success of the U.S. firm’s M&A practice, possessing extensive domestic and international transaction-related experience. This includes advising public and private companies on everything from mergers and acquisitions to recapitalizations, divestitures and capital raises. Additionally, he has served on Grant Thornton’s Partnership Board. 

Having spent his entire career with Grant Thornton, Findlay has garnered expertise and leadership skills that are grounded in Grant Thornton’s values. He deeply understands the business, its clients and its people. 

Findlay steps into his new role at a moment of rapid business acceleration for Grant Thornton. Earlier this year, the firm created a multinational platform with Grant Thornton Ireland — later expanding the platform to include Grant Thornton firms in the UAE, Luxembourg, the Cayman Islands and the Netherlands. As a result, clients across three continents now have access to seamless cross-border services. The platform is backed by an investor group led by New Mountain Capital

Findlay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.

Wolters Kluwer announces Joel Morris as new Vice President & Segment Leader, Research & Advisory in Tax & Accounting

Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting (TAA) recently announced the appointment of Joel Morris as the new Vice President & Segment Leader, Research & Advisory. In this role, Joel will be responsible for meeting the financial performance, customer satisfaction, and market growth targets for the Segment. He will lead the strategic transformation of the division’s digital content business in the U.S. and Canada further accelerating the Tax & Accounting division’s AI-driven, integrated Research and Advisory software offering. Joel will report to Jason Marx, CEO of Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting.

Joel Morris has over 15 years of executive leadership experience spanning corporate strategy, product management, and entrepreneurship across multiple industries. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Go-to-Market Commercial Strategy and Vice President of Product Management at PG Forsta, a global B2B SaaS enterprise customer experience and market research company. In this role, Joel led the organization’s shift to a value-focused commercial mindset, driving significant sales growth year-over-year. He also led the company’s vertically aligned solutions strategy, spearheading cross-functional initiatives and driving significant pipeline growth within each strategic vertical.

Previously, Joel was the co-founder and CEO of HelloIgnite!, an enterprise B2B SaaS innovation platform serving Fortune 500 companies. Under his leadership, the company achieved rapid growth before being acquired in a strategic transaction.
